Timoleague / Courtmacsherry Documentary
The works on the Courtmacsherry Waste Water treatment plant and networks contract are proceeding at pace. A very large portion of these works entail designing and constructing a new combined storm and foul water collection network in the nearby village of Timoleague. In the heart of this community, is the village primary school like many other Irish villages. Given its central location within the village, the school has been impacted the most by our civil engineering works, works such as the installation of a 750mm diameter pipe effectively along the boundary of the school.
In order to carryout these works in as collaboratively and less intrusive manner as possible on the school, MEIC and Glan Agua have been liaising with the school on close to a daily basis. The works that have been impacting the school are effectively now complete and our relationship with the school has been excellent from the beginning to the end.
The school has got so used to dealing with our engineers on a daily basis and lessoning to our technical “jargon” that they decided gather up all our “technical phrases” and act out a documentary about the construction works been undertaken. We have included a link below, which you should click if you want to find out how to build a waste water treatment plant in 3 quick minutes. (Excuse the manual handling, falling over walls and general high jinks.) These young people are the engineers of the future.
Yesterday, Glan Agua, MEIC and Irish Water made a small donation to the school to aid with, and encourage the production cost of other such informative productions. Well done to all involved.
